Soli: "We found a way to battle through moments of difficulty"

"We didn’t approach the match the way we wanted, but our opponents did everything necessary to deserve their early two-set lead" said Trentino Itas head coach Fabio Soli after the game. "Ankara outplayed us in the closing stages of the first two sets, executing well in every fundamental. However, we could have managed some counterattack situations better. As has been happening more and more often, our team found a way to battle through moments of great difficulty. We had the patience to rebuild our game and held up well physically. It’s important to carry forward everything we did tonight because it will be crucial for us at the end of the season".
Trentino Itas’ next challenge is already set for Sunday, March 16, when they face Cisterna di Latina in Game 2 of the SuperLega Credem Banca Playoff Quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the decisive CEV Cup semifinal second leg will take place in Ankara in seven days, with the match kicking off at 5:00 PM Italian time, live on DAZN and Radio Dolomiti.
