Play Off Scudetto: Itas Trentino regain advantage in quarter-final series

The Itas Trentino men's volleyball team bounces back after two consecutive losses, holding onto their home advantage in Game 3 of the SuperLega Credem Banca 2025 Playoff Scudetto quarter-finals, regaining the lead in the best-of-five series against Cisterna Volley. With a 3-1 victory today in front of 3,800 spectators, the yellow-and-blue team now has two opportunities to advance to the Semifinals. The first of these will come in three days in Lazio, where Game 4 will be played.
The return to their home court at the ilT quotidiano Arena and the regained efficiency at the net were key elements for the win. Energized by their supporters from the start, Fabio Soli's team quickly shook off the disappointment of the past week, playing two sets of solid volleyball with strong defense and offense. After fending off a comeback from the resilient Cisterna team, who took the third set in a tight finish, Itas Trentino found the strength to react and close the match 3-1. The team maximized the scoring contributions of not only the usual Michieletto (still the best scorer with 20 points, 60% in attack, and 2 aces) but also Lavia (19, named MVP for his all-around performance), Rychlicki (14), and Kozamernik, the fourth player in double figures (11, with two blocks, 89% in first-tempo play, and an ace). This collective effort made a challenging task, especially in the second half of the match, more manageable.
