Itas Trentino-Cisterna Volley 3-1, game #3: the match report

Match Summary of Game 3: Both teams started with the same lineups as in Game 1 of the series, played fifteen days ago at the ilT quotidiano Arena. Itas Trentino featured Sbertoli as setter, Rychlicki as opposite, Michieletto and Lavia as outside hitters, Kozamernik and Flavio at the middle, and Laurenzano as libero. Cisterna Volley countered with Baranowicz as setter, Faure as opposite, Ramon and Bayram as outside hitters, Mazzone and Nedeljkovic in the middle, and Pace as libero.
The visitors made the first impact with an early burst from Faure (two attacks for an initial 0-3 lead), but Michieletto quickly responded (3-4), followed by a net error from Ramon (5-5). Ramon atoned with an ace that pushed Cisterna ahead again (6-8), but Itas Trentino managed to equalize through another Faure net error. Lavia then went on a strong serving run, including an ace, creating the first real break for the home team (14-9), which was further extended with attacks by Rychlicki and blocks from Kozamernik. Despite a timeout from coach Falasca, Cisterna couldn't recover (17-12), and the first set quickly ended with a 25-17 scoreline.
In the second set, Trentino continued to perform well (6-4, 10-7), relying on a strong blocking and counterattack phase. Michieletto served an ace that stretched the lead even further (16-9), while Lavia (with a spike and a block on Faure) and Rychlicki contributed to a 20-10 advantage. The set concluded swiftly at 25-16 with Cisterna struggling with errors.
In the third set, Itas Trentino didn't drop their intensity (6-4, 9-6), with Rychlicki being active both offensively and defensively. However, Cisterna, with Tarumi replacing Ramon, kept pace and equalized at 10-10 thanks to Faure. Michieletto's attack gave Trentino a 14-11 lead, but the visitors managed to tie again (20-20). In a tense finish, Faure scored for a 22-23 lead (a timeout by Soli), and a block from Nedeljkovic on Flavio allowed Cisterna to earn two set points. Flavio blocked the first, but the second, with an attack by Tarumi, leveled the match at 1-2 (23-25).
After the change of sides, Lavia made the first move with a 7-5 lead, but Cisterna responded quickly, and the teams exchanged points (9-9, 12-12). Michieletto then made a decisive move with a sharp diagonal (16-13, timeout Falasca), but once again, Faure responded to keep the match close (16-15). A crucial ace from Sbertoli extended the lead (19-16), followed shortly by Gabi Garcia’s ace (22-18). Cisterna couldn't respond, and a final attack by Rychlicki sealed the 3-1 win at 25-21.
