Itas Trentino canceled the first set point and then took advantage of the second one thanks to an error by Maar, taking the lead 1-0 with a 27-25 win.

The +3 advantage for the yellow-blues lasts only a moment as the same Canadian player scores the minus one (12-11, timeout by Soli), but later Itas Trentino unleashes themselves in break-point plays with Lavia (block on Maar) and thanks to a net error by Mandiraci (17-13). Piacenza interrupts play in turn, but Michieletto's arm gets hotter and hotter, leading his team to their maximum advantage (20-15), which his teammates hold onto until 25-20, giving them the 2-1 away lead.
In the fourth set, the yellow-blues find their first advantage at 7-5 with Rychlicki and extend it to 11-8 with an error by Maar. Piacenza does not give up and quickly climbs back up to 15-15, taking advantage of Mandiraci's good momentum and some excessive errors by Trentino. Romanò and Maar lead their team to pull ahead (16-18 and 18-21); Trento keeps pace until 22-23 but then leaves room for Simon (attack and block on Lavia), who sends the two teams to a tie-break (22-25).
In the fifth set, Itas Trentino starts well with Sbertoli's serves (3-0 and 4-1), but Mandiraci quickly closes the gap and overtakes (4-5). Trento remains calm and strikes again with Michieletto and Lavia (9-6). This is the decisive break because then the same blue hitters protect their margin until the end: 15-9 and 2-0 in the series.
