Itas Trentino advances to the Final scudetto bound!

One chance was all Itas Trentino needed. Two years after their last appearance, they are once again heading to the SuperLega Credem Banca Scudetto Playoff Final. A third win over Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza in just eleven days, secured tonight in front of 4,000 fans at the ilT Quotidiano Arena, sealed the Semifinal Series in just three games, thanks to an impressive and energetic team performance.
Unlike Games 1 and 2, this match didn’t need a tie-break to determine the winner. Trentino sealed the ticket to what will be their tenth Scudetto Final in club history with a 3-1 victory. They will face either Perugia or Civitanova (with the series currently 2-1 in favor of the Umbrian side, Game 4 scheduled for Easter Sunday), with Game 1 of the Final series set for April 27 and Trentino enjoying home-court advantage in three out of the potential five matches.
Piacenza kept pace until the 1-1 set tie, but when things got tough, Trentino raised their level in defense and transition play, turning the tide in their favor. Key performances came from an extraordinary Laurenzano in the backcourt, the consistent high-ball trio of Michieletto (24 points), Rychlicki (18), and Lavia (9), and a monstrous performance by Flavio, who deservedly took home MVP honors with 17 points, including three blocks and a stunning 88% success rate in quick attacks (14 out of 16).
Reaching the Scudetto Final also secures two key achievements for next season: participation in the 2025 Italian Supercup Final Four and a return to the CEV Champions League.
