ilT quotidiano Arena, Soli and Sbertoli before Final Game 1: “It will be a battle"

At the end of today's afternoon training, which saw the Gialloblù undergo an hour of work in the weight room followed by two hours of technical and tactical work on the main court of the ilT quotidiano Arena, Itas Trentino coach Fabio Soli and captain Riccardo Sbertoli met with the media to present the Play Off Final Scudetto SuperLega Credem Banca 2025 series that kicks off on Sunday right in the arena of via Fersina.
“It’s going to be amazing to play another Scudetto Final, once again against Civitanova, and to start it right in front of our home crowd,” explained Sbertoli. We know very well the quality of our opponents and the individual players, we respect each other a lot and I think it’s going to be an all-out battle. Cucine Lube will definitely come in fired up—but so will we, because we’ll have the support of our fans right from the start, and they’ve already guaranteed a sold-out Game 1. We know very well what it means to play in front of such an incredible crowd. Seeing the arena full again, like it was in the Semifinal against Piacenza, will be a fantastic feeling”.
“Until Thursday night, we didn’t know who we’d be facing in the final, so our prep had to account for both possibilities,” Soli said. "That was the right approach to make sure we were ready. Now we know it’ll be Civitanova, and we’ve seen how strong they are. This season has shown us that Cucine Lube knows exactly how to challenge us, and they’ll come to Trento full of momentum after winning Game 5 in Perugia. It’s going to be a battle, as it should be with so much at stake. It has certainly been a bit of a long wait for us but at the same time our opponents will have had very little time to recover before game 1; so I believe the referee’s opening whistle Sunday evening will reset all these considerations. The details will make the difference; we have tried to prepare as best we can, especially physically, to keep our game pace high. It will be important to have a good approach in Game 1, an important moment to try to get off to a good start in this series that I imagine will be very balanced.”
The team's approach schedule includes an early afternoon workout on Saturday at the ilT quotidiano Arena and a morning finishing session at the Sanbapolis gym on game day.
