Michieletto on Sky Sport: "The Scudetto, our cherry on top of the season"

"I’m happy with what I’ve achieved during this season, this championship, in order to win this Scudetto. But certain kinds of milestones can only be reached if you play in a great team," explained Alessandro Michieletto, MVP of the Scudetto Final, during his interview on Sky Sport 24 on Thursday afternoon. "Together, we overcame difficult moments—just think about where we stood after the first set of Game 4. Winning a second Scudetto in three years is an extraordinary result, one that has allowed us to start a new cycle, because every year we've managed to win something, taking into account the 2024 Champions League as well. We're getting used to success, and it’s wonderful, far from guaranteed. During this season, we’ve endured some painful defeats, such as those in the CEV Cup, Club World Championship, and Italian Cup. So winning the Italian title compensates for those disappointments and is also the cherry on top that we were hoping for. My playoffs have definitely been on the rise, and I’m truly happy with what I’ve done because I’ve always tried to give a little extra. I managed to maintain a good average level of performance, which is exactly what I had promised myself I’d do to help my teammates. I’m proud of it, but I know that in the future, I’ll have to replicate it multiple times."
