Filippo Lanza spikes against the Netherlands block

Last weekend six player of Trentino Volley took part in the last preparation test matches, before the beginning of the 2017 European Championship on August 24th in Poland.
Italy won back to back against Nederlands (first in Doetinchem, then in Apeldoorn) with the fundamental contribution of Vettori, Lanza and Giannelli; the opposite player scored 13 points in both games (50% and 58% attack, 1 block) while captain Lanza scored 8 (32% and 38% attack) but helped throughout difficult situations. 3 aces and 9 total points for the setter Giannelli.
Good news coming from Belgrado, where Kovacevic (Serbia) and Kozarmenik (Slovenia) played their personal derby with their national teams. In the first match (3-2 Serbia) 16points (55% attack, 4 aces,1 block) were scored by Uros Kovacevic, while on the other side of the net 6 positive attacks with 1 ace and 1 block confirm the good performance of Jan Kozarmenik. Serbia also won the rematch (3-1) with 7 points (75% and 1 ace) produced in the first two sets by the new spiker of Trentino Volley and 4 points (100%, 2 blocks,1 ace) scored by his new teammate.
In Tallin, Estonia defeated 3-0 Spain thanks to the performance of new opposite Teppan (13point), second best scorer of the match.
Estonia and Serbia will face each other on August 26th in Danzica, in the pool A with Poland and Finland, while in pool C Russia, Bulgaria and Spain are Slovenia’s opponents. Italy, in pool B, will play against Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
