Verona, September 8th 2017
The practice match played this evening at PalaOlimpia in Verona versus Calzedonia closed the fourth week of pre-seasonal training of Diatec Trentino. The two hours of work along with the team from Verona allowed the technical staff to verify the physical condition of the available players but also to check the technical and tactical progress of the first period of activity.
Lorenzetti could appreciate the progress of the diagonal made by the spikers Eder-Zingel (7 block on an overall of 15 points) and the one made by setter-opposite Partenio-Teppan; in his second training with his teammates the Estonian performed really well, confirming his good attack numbers already shown recently in the European Cup 2017 (17 points with the 44% at the net). The performance of Oreste Cavuto was also interesting: he scored 15 points and was positive also in reception phase.
For the record, Diatec Trentino won 3-0 (25-23, 25-22 and 25-18), but the result, as usually happens in this period, is the less interesting aspect for both the coaches: because of the many absences and the still not perfect physical condition, it was decided to adapt a special work with a double action of confirm after the usual side-out phase.
For the yellow-blues now a whole weekend off before the resumption scheduled for Monday in the weight-room of PalaTrento for the fifth week of preparation.
