The music of Daniele Groff, the cutting irony of Lucio Gardin, the brilliant presentation of Francesca Bertoletti and Gabriele Biancardi and, last but not least, the team of Diatec Trentino for the first time with all the players before a great number of its regular fans.
The 800 spectators, who tonight were at the Auditorium Santa Chiara of Trento (the requests arrived just few hours before the beginning exceeded quota 1,000), never got bored during the two and a half hours of show staged for the presentation of the new Trentino Volley and they could meet again their favourite team at last.
The idea of giving the supporters a night with a big connotation of Trentino has been really appreciated thanks to the most beautiful hits of the singer-songwriter from Trento Daniele Groff (all the songs chosen for the night like “Daisy” and “Adesso” have been really appreciated) and to the original comic show of Lucio Gardin who is a supporter of Diatec Trentino and therefore performed a sketch mainly about the fans. The words of President Diego Mosna and of the new President of Lega Paola De Micheli, who arrived to Trento extra to take part in the event, have received wide agreement.
“Once again we inaugurate the new season with great enthusiasm – said President Mosna -; we hope that it will be a big year. We are proud of representing our province; the summer break always seems too long: after a month without matches the desire to live a great volleyball begins again. I want to thank our sponsors and the people who contributed to achieve what we are today over the first sixteen seasons, including our public, also because we are about to exceed the number of season tickets of last season”.
“Trento is one of the towns of volley par excellence; I’m from Piacenza but I often came to Trento to see final-matches of the highest level – said Paola De Micheli -. “I thank President Mosna for supporting my candidature for this important position in the world of volleyball. After becoming President of Lega I promised that I would have gone to every single town of volley and I’m doing it, as proven by my visit today. It is exciting and, I hope, auspicious to be here tonight”.
“In the world, the volleyball of Trentino is represented by a Club that gave this province enormous satisfactions and emotions: I’m sure it will give many others starting from this Sunday – promised the Assessor of Sport of the Province of Trento Tiziano Mellarini -. I thank Trentino Volley for what it gave to Trentino and for the values it managed to impart to the young people. I also thank President Monsa for the commitment of these sixteen years; it isn’t easy to preside over a Club of such importance, but the presence of institutions and friends will give further support and enthusiasm”.
Then, general manager Bruno Da Re presented the innovations of PalaTrento, which, starting from this season, will have two video-walls in place of the scoreboards and new HD led for the publicity, rewarding the new and the old managerial of Curva Gislimberti.
The public of Auditorium Santa Chiara loudly applauded the protagonists of Diatec Trentino who at the end came on stage one after another. “I’ve been very well welcomed from the very beginning in Trento, there’s total agreement with all the staff of the Club and now we are ready to start our adventure” affirmed trainer Angelo Lorenzetti. “This team has to keep alive the emotion that all the fans lived during the Olympic Games of Rio 2016; we will try to do so, because we’re confident we can do well all the way. And then, the last time we inaugurated the season in this Auditorium (season 2014/15), you all know how it turned out…” said Captain Filippo Lanza smiling.
Now it is the turn of the field: on Sunday 2nd October at 6 pm at PalaTrento Diatec Trentino will play the first match of the championship against Vibo Valentia.
