Playoffs, Cucine Lube responded immediately to Itas Trentino in game 2

The 2025 SuperLega Credem Banca Scudetto Play Off Finals series is already tied and guaranteed to go on to Game 3. After Itas Trentino’s win in Sunday’s opening match, they were unable to repeat their performance today at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche. Cucine Lube took Game 2 in straight sets, in a match where Trento consistently fell short in the closing phases of each set, unable to turn the tide on the scoreboard.
The result means there will be at least one more match in Civitanova Marche: Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7 at 8:30 pm. Before that, Game 3 will be played on Sunday, May 4 at the ilT Quotidiano Arena, with both teams having so far held serve at home, delivering contrasting performances just four days apart. In tonight’s match, Lube’s service game was dominant right from the start, racking up 10 aces, including six from MVP Bottolo, creating an early gap that Trento managed to close several times. However, they never fully seized control, even when they led (20–18 in the first set, 11–9 in the second, and recovering from 11–14 to 14–14 in the third). In the key moments, the home team always found an extra gear, capitalizing not only on Bottolo’s sharp performance but also on a solid game from Nikolov (12 points) and a number of costly Trentino errors. Among Trentino Itas players, the most effective contributions came from Gabi Garcia—preferred over Rychlicki and Trento’s top scorer with 12 points at 50% efficiency—along with spurts from Michieletto and Lavia, who also finished in double digits. Game 2 of the Finals remains a taboo for Trentino Volley, which has never won this match in club history, but Sunday’s Game 3 offers a chance to reverse the trend once again.

The following is the table of game 2 of the Play Off Scudetto SuperLega Credem Banca 2025 Finals, played this evening at the Eurosuole Forum.
