Since two years ago, History repeats thanks to PalaTrento’s court. As it happened during the 2015 Championship Play Off, Diatec Trentino won this evening the tie break match of semifinals against Perugia, in this case for 3-0, achieving the qualification to the Championship finals: the last phase of the Championship that will start in Civitanova on the court of Cucine Lube (whose presence is confirmed since Wednesday evening) on Tuesday April 25th (at 6 p.m.) for the first match of the finals.
In order to achieve the eighth access to the finals in its history, the team from Trento had to use at most the play skills acquired in front of its supporters so far; the second match ball available was useful to close the accounts with Sir Safety Perugia because Lanza and his team mates were almost perfect in attack (63%), service and defense. The fifth match of the round was the least balanced because Trento was able to impose immediately its frantic rhythm, at a high intensity in all the fundamentals; thanks to Giannelli as setter, Colaci in reception and defense and most of all Stokr (67%) and Lanza (74%) at net, the Yellow-blue caused difficulties to Sir Safety Conad already in the first half of each set, by complementing with the mentality. Perugia’s blocks and service were affected (only three points from this two fundamentals), leave increasingly space to the opponents.
