Seven years ago, on September 7th 2010, Trentino Volley went social opening its official Facebook page. The Club has been one of the first Volley teams in Italy to invest in social networks to provide the fans with another channel beside the official website. This choice paid back with time and now almost 80’000 users (79’758, eight thousands more than last year) like our page at www.trentinovolley.it/facebook, which also received the “certified page” mark. Out of 335 reviews, an average of 4.8/5 rate confirms the quality of its contents. Beyond any expectation, our Facebook page is one of the most visited among the Italian Volleyball (men and women) clubs, thanks to the daily update of news, info, fun-facts, pictures and videos. The “Trentino Volley trademark” went international and can now count on fans from all over the world: 5000+ fans in Poland, 4’900 from Brazil, 4’750 from Mexico, 2’300 from Argentina, 2000 from Bulgaria but also from Philippines, Iran, Puerto Rico, Algeria, Ecuador, Pakistan and Bosnia Erzegovina.
The official profile has the biggest success in the youngest bracket of social media users: 8% of the fans are between 13 and 17yo, while the biggest section belongs to those who are between the age of 18 and 25 and every post is usually viewed 35’000 times a day.
