Trento, November 14th, 2015
Super League UnipolSai will be played tomorrow, on Sunday, November 15th, for the fifth round of the 2015/16 regular season. Diatec Trentino will be the star of the match of PalaFiera in Forlì, which since the last season hosts the home matches of the CMC Romagna (former Ravenna). The kick-off is scheduled at 6.00 pm, broadcasted live on Radio Dolomiti and on www.sportube.tv, the League Volleyball Channel.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After the beautiful home success of Thursday evening against Piacenza, the Italian champions continue the triptych dedicated exclusively to the Super League teams in Emilia Romagna - which will end on Sunday 22nd challenging Modena in PalaTrento - with the away match of a CMC stuffed with old contacts (Bari, Della Lunga, Polo and General Manager Cormio). With the appointment in Romagna, Diatec Trentino want to look for a further boost to its ranking (third place in cohabitation with Perugia) and confirmation of the season good start, marked by four victories in the first six matches.
Radostin Stoytchev hunts for the 290^ victory (over 348 total matches) as coach of Trentino Volley and thus presents the challenge on the ground of Romagna. "We have major problems at this early stage of the season” - he explains -. “Travelling so much and having therefore so little time available to train with a young staff, objectively is not the best; despite everything we have to keep focus on our goal, which is to be able to score points also in this occasion. We are far from the idea of the game that we would like to develop but at this time we can not ignore the results and we will try to get in also in a situation so delicate".
The preparation for the match will be completed today afternoon with a technical and tactical training at PalaTrento, which will precede the departure to Forli; Trentino Volley will reach Romagna already in the evening again without being able to count on Urnaut. The trip that starts today will end with the return to Trento on Thursday afternoon for Lanza and his teammates, who then will travel from Forli to Salonicco (Greece), where on Wednesday will play the first match outside of the 2016 CEV Volleyball Champions League DenizBank.
Romagna vs. Trento will represent the 618^ official match in the history of Trentino Volley (430 victories and 187 defeats), the 193^ away regular season; at the PalaFiera of Forli, among other things, the Yellow-blue Club has already played seven competitive matches (4 against the local training of Series A1, two Italian Cup and one against the same CMC) winning in six circumstances.
MITAR DJURIC AT HIS 100^ MATCH WITH TRENTINO VOLLEY, COLACI AT HIS 250^ MATCH The match will feature a variety of interesting ideas even as regards the statistical aspect. On that occasion, in fact the greek opposite Mitar Djuric crosses the finish line of a hundred appearances for Trentino Volley (for him so far 43 matches in the 2011/12 season, 42 in 2012/13, 9 in 2014/15 and 6 in the current one with a tally of 888 scored points), while the libero Massimo Colaci touch portion 250 right in front of Andrea Bari who until last season, before being overtaken by Birarelli (345), had the record of this special ranking with 339 matches.
PREVIOUSLY The one on Sunday, will be the ninth absolute confrontation between the two companies; eight crossings are already on file with meetings of the previous four regular-season (2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15). The balance is clearly in favor of the Yellow-blues that between the first match played (on November 5th, 2011 in PalaTrento) and the most recent one on February 15th, 2015 (always at PalaTrento), have never allowed even a set to the opponents. The last precedent in Romagna (Forli) relates to exactly one year ago: on November 16th, 2014, winning 3-0 (25-18, 34-32, 25-22) with Kaziyski MVP (18 points). Trentino Volley has some Ravenna origins: in May 2000 the President Diego Mosna bought the rights of the Series A1 Valleverde Porto, which won a league title and three Champions Cups in the late nineties.
REFEREES Simone Santi (Citta di Castello - Perugia, in the top serie since 1994 and international FIVB from 2011) and Fabrizio Saltalippi (Perugia, on role since 1995 and internationally since 2000) will be the two whistles of the match. Trentino Volley meets again this couple, after the first time together in Game 4 of the championship final on May 13th in Modena . The two referees are at the second direction in Super League season UnipolSai 2015/16, the third personal one for both.
RADIO, INTERNET AND TV RadioDolomiti, radio partner of Trentino Volley, will recount the match live, and in its entirety, starting from 17.55. The connections with PalaFiera will be made within the show “Campioni di Sport”: the radio frequencies to follow the regional network can be found on the home page www.trentinovolley.it, whereas the live radio commentary in streaming can be followed on www.radiodolomiti.com.
The pre-recorded broadcast of the match will be transmitted on Monday, November 17th at 21.15 on the regional television channel RTTR, Tv partner of via Trener’s club.
Finally, on internet, the minute by minute update will be care of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A (www.legavolley.it), by www.trentinovolley.it itself, and it will always be active also on the yellow-blue Social Networks (www.trentinovolley.it/facebook and www.trentinovolley.it/twitter).
