Trento, December 18th 2016

The three gained points versus Sora on Friday night and other results of today's evening made possible for Diatec Trentino to get again to the second place in SuperLega Unipolsai 2016/17. The fifteenth round of regular season has in fact confirmed the fast pace of Lube, which won for 3-1 in Piacenza, but has surprisingly seen Modena losing a point in the home match versus Milano, won for 3-2.
In this way Lanza and his teammates reached Modena at the second place in ranking with 35 points, even if they are still a little behind only because of a smaller number of wins (12 to 13). Just below in the ranking with one less point is now Perugia, wich won 3-1 versus Padova and gained its seventh consecutive league victory, further compacting the top of the standings where now are four teams in four points.
A similar situation could be the one between the ninth and fourteen places: the home victory of Latina versus Ravenna and the one of Molfetta versus Verona (which has not taken advantage of LPR defeat to overcome the same team from Piacenza in the ranking) have in fact gathered six teams in four points. Last in the ranking is again Sora, which didn't gain a single point on Friday and now finds itself bringing up the rear with 12 points, but still watching Milano at a close range (+1) and Latina and Padova (which will be next Diatec Trentino opponent at PalaTrento on Monday, December 26th) with only 2 more points. Angelo Lorenzetti's team will start training for the next match from Monday afternoon with a workout equally divided between weight room and technical and tactical training on the field.
