Match report. Trentino Diatec plays in front of its supporters for the last European home match of the season with Giannelli as setter, Stokr as opposite, Urnaut and Lanza in position 4, Van de Voorde and Solé as middle-blockers, Colaci as libero; Tours Vb coached by the Italian Medei answers with Hernan Ruperez as setter, Konecny as opposite, Alves Cabral and Barnes as spikers, Collin and Jansen Vandoorn as middle-blockers, Henno as libero. The beginning of the match is dominated by the home team that earns an advantage (4-1) thanks to service (ace of Van de Voorde) and block (Stokr over Jansen Vandoorn). Jouffroy tries to get back on track his team with a block over Lanza (9-8), but then Urnaut contrattacks and Giannelli scores an ace expanding the gap (13-9). The Frenchs loses concentration and confidence, making many fouls; This way Trento is able to dominate (16-10, 19-13) with an incredible performance of Urnaut in the fundamentals. He scores 5 points by himself allowing the team to win the second set without suffering (25-19). Tours has more impact in the third set; thanks to Konecny and Barnes, the French team earn an advantage for the first time during the all match (7-9). Trento doesn’t give up reaches 10-9 thanks to a block of Solé over the Czech opposite and an attack error of the Canadian player . The service of Van de Voorde puts the other team in difficulty and Trentino Diatec tries to expand the gap (14-9). After the second technical time out, the team increases its rhythm, Urnaut has a strong impact (18-12) and Lanza sets regularly . With Burgsthaler and Chiappa on court and an ace of Lanza, the team reaches 25-17 and wins the third set.
