SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18 gets immediately back in the game in order to compete for sixteenth match of regular season (the third of the second round). Diatec Trentino will play against Bunge Ravenna at PalaTrento. The match will start at 06.00 pm: it will be live broadcast on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel (www.elevensports.it/superlega).
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO Both the success of the match against Padua last Thursday night and the defeat of Verona in Perugia (that still has to play a match which had been postponed) gave the yellow-blue team the opportunity to continue its path towards the glory in the ranking (reaching the fourth position). Lanza and its team will try to protect their position fighting against an important competitor in the qualification for the playoffs like Bunge that during the first round, by winning against the yellow-blues, led the team of Trento to its first away defeat.
“Our spirit against Ravenna will be completely different compared to the one that we had a few day ago against Kioene – affirmed the coach Angelo Lorenzetti by presenting the match-. Due to the proximity of the two matches we can’t think that we’ve solved our physical problems but we’ll try once again to focus on our aggression and determination, reminding us that eight victories in a row mean something. Bunge is a team with a high physical preparation, with numbers that are very similar to ours and that were better before Marechal’s injury, a player who already during the first round was able to keep us on our toes.”
Today’s training at PalaTrento will give some answers to the coach about the situation of the entire team, with Kovacevic who probably won’t play because of abdominal pain.
In this occasion Trentino Volley will play the 736^ official match of its history (511 wins, 224 defeats) and it will try to win the 266^ home game of all times.
THE OPPONENTS Bunge Ravenna comes at PalaTrento in the running for one of the first eight positions in the ranking which is a goal that will allow the team to compete for the playoffs failed during the last seconds of the last season. With twenty-three points, it shares with Padua the last available place in the qualification for the post season’s phase and like Kioene, it just got off a heavy defeat. The match lost at the PalaTrento against Civitanova didn’t compromise its progress, five days before they won against Piacenza in four sets. Thanks to the spiker Marechal as regular player, the Yellow-Reds regain quality. Thanks to Orduna and Marechal and also the other two strikers, the opposite Buchegger and the Argentinian hitter Poglajen, very good at the service. As regular player also the former Tiziano Mazzone, the roman spiker, grown in the Yellow-blue’s youth field and arrived in first team gaining 45 presences and 28 points but he didn’t find place in field also because of an ankle’s accident.
Previous matches On Sunday there will be the fourteenth overall game between the two teams, that started to challenge each other in 2011/12. The outcome is in favour of the Yellow-blues for 11-2, but Civitanova’s successes are recent: 25th of October 2017 for 3-0 at the Pala De André in the first round match of this regular season and the 3rd of February 2016 at the tie break at the PalaTrento. All the other matches were won by Trento: for 3-1 (once), for 3-0(ten times). Trentino Volley has some origins from Ravenna: in 2000 the president Diego Mosna bought the rights of Serie A1 from the Valleverde Porto a team that during the ‘90s won a championship and three Coppe Campioni.
The referees The match will be directed by Fabrizio Saltalippi (from Perugia) and Umberto Zanussi (from Belluno). This is the first time that they referee together in SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18, the 11th for Saltalippi and the 10th for Zanussi.
Radio, Internet and Tv The match will be commented with a live coverage by Radio Dolimiti, official network partner of Trentino Volley for the ninth year in a row; the broadcasts with Civitanova will be made inside of “Campioni di Sport”, The frequencies to listen to the regional network are available on the home page www.trentinovolley.it, whereas on the site www.radiodolomiti.com will be also possible to listen to the live streaming and coverage.

The match will be on delay on tv on RTTR, tv partner of the Club of via Trener at 9.50 p.m. of Monday October 9th, immediately after the magazine “RTTR Volley”.
