The first interview as player of Trentino Volley for Daniele De Pandis, new libero.

After Colaci, another player from Puglia will wear the shirt of libero for Trento, what’s the effect?
“It’s a beautiful sensation, Trento is a great opportunity to play once again important matches, like in Cuneo. I’m glad I can play for one of the teams that most won in the last decade: I can help a lot in the reception, it has always been my best fundamental. I want to prove I deserve to stay and play for this society.”
The Coach  Angelo Lorenzetti has never hidden, also during the previous seasons,  his regard towards you…
“Obviously I am very pleased of his consideration; every time we’ve met he has always said beautiful things about me and so far I’m very honoured and encouraged. This is one of the reasons why I chose  to  sign with this Club; another reason is surely PalaTrento and the audience that often has impressed for its cheering. It will be great, after many years, seeing all the audience cheering for me. In this sport establishment as an opponent I achieved few satisfactions, in fact with my former team mates I nicknamed “Pala 3-0”.
Have the two seasons in Cuneo been the highest point of your carrier?   
“Absolutely  yes, because I was able to play with athlete of high level and playing in Champions League it’s for me the most difficult and amazing thing to do. I’m happy to have the possibility to experience it as protagonist with Trentino Volley as it happened in 2013, when we almost won. As usual the Russian teams will be the favorite but I also think that the Italian teams, first of all Trento, will be able to show their strength. In Cuneo I’ve worked with Roberto Piazza, the coach that has made me a qualitative leap”.
What are your goals for next season?
“I would like to win an important match. This is a goal that in the past I couldn’t reach and I think that this kind of result can be reached only through constant hard working in the gym. This is what I’m going to do; I’ve always have the ambition of improving. I’ve often talked with Max Colaci about this environment and  after doing it I think that this is the right place  in order to experience a great season”.
