The Gi Group Monza will be the next opponent of Diatec Trentino in the straight up elimination match of the quarter final of Del Monte Coppa Italia 2018, which will be played Wednesday 18th October at PalaTrento at 20:30 (match included in the subscription).
The eights final, played this evening in the houses of the best regular season classified teams of last season, have indeed promoted at the third round of the scoreboard the “brianzoli”, who defeated Latina with a 3-0, Verona and Ravenna, defining in this way, three of the four pairings of the quarter final. To know Perugia, we’ll have to wait for the match of Thursday night between Piacenza and Padova, which will be broadcast live on RAI Sport+ HD at 20:30.
At less than eight months since the earlier pairing in the same phase of the event, the pairing Trentino Volley - Monza will be reiterated, already seen on 11 January, but also before in the 2011 edition versus the then Acqua Paradiso Monza Brianza. In both cases, the yellowblues won in three sets and the subsequent turn change.

Next week at PalaTrento the confront with Vero Volley Monza will be renewed, already seen nine times, starting from the season 2014/15; the former ones are all in favour of Diatec Trentino, which only in one occasion (27 November 2016) had to rely on the tie break to prevail. For the Club of Trener street it’ll be the 16° participation at the Coppa Italia quarter final in 18 seasons of activity; in the past Trentino Volley didn’t take part the final phase of the competition just in the opening season in A1 (2000/01, eliminated during the quarter final in the preliminary phase by Cuneo) and in the last Lattari administration (2006/07). In ten occasion instead, the Society of Trener street has reached the Final Four. Three the victories : editions 2010, 2012 and 2013.
