The Del Monte Supercup 2017 is not so successful for Diatec Trentino. After the loss in semifinal with Perugia Saturday, the stop for the platonic third place of the first seasonal competition has arrived today as well at Eurosole Forum, with a 1-3 which partly tells the fight point to point to which the yellow-blues have set up with Azimut Modena. After being strained in four set by the Emilians, the boys of Lorenzetti have closed in fourth position their weekend, not collecting achievements but still collecting useful indications about the work to do during next week, in order to be ready for the debut in the UnipolSai SuperLeague 2017/18 (Sunday 15th October at PalaTrento versus Milano).
In view of the home debut the Trentino coach holds on the growing understanding between Giannelli and the new hammers of high ball: Vettori has confirmed the good things already seen in the previous match with Perugia, scoring 19 points with 62% at net, 2 walls and 1 ace, imitated by Kovacevic who has realized 18 balls with 63% and a wall. Positive is also the performance of Captain Lanza (13) and the entrance during the game of Kozamernik (5 with 75% at first), which in place of Zingel has offered more boost at the Trentino wall. After a first difficult set, the fight has been vibrant and balanced and has rewarded Modena, which has been more cynical in the second and fourth partial finals, both concluded at advantages with Ngapeth and Sabbi (22 points) on the shields.
