The path of Diatec Trentino in the 2017/2018 SuperLega UnipolSai league continues unimpeded also after facing one the opponent that caused the most difficulties in the first leg of the championship. Tonight in PalaTrento Yellow-blues confirmed the substantial improvement they had since the beginning of the regular season and defeated Bunge Ravenna for 3-1, redeeming themselves from the false step they had in Pala De Andrè in October. The three points obtained today allow Lanza and his teammates to confirm the fourth place in the rank and to approach in the best possible way the big match against Lube in one week time.
The team will arrive to the big appointment with a streak of nine consecutive wins; this last victory has shown how mature the players have now become: an almost perfect start in the first set, the ability to contain the attempts of a comeback in the second one, the patience to guide and control the game before accelerating and conquering the victory. Captain Lanza contributed with an MPV performance (18 points, 63% in attack), Chiappa played a great match in both phases (De Pandis suffered from a minor knee injury) and Giannelli skillfully managed the not so great performances in attack of Teppan and Hoag. Ravenna with Buchegger (best scorer with 20 points) fought until the end trying to replicate, but in the long run suffered the low efficiency of Poglajen in 4 position.
