Match Report. The starting six chosen were the same of Match 1 played on April 25th: Diatec Trentino gets on court with Giannelli as setter, Stokr as opposite, Urnaut and Lanza in position 4, Solé and Van de Voorde as middle blockers, Colaci as libero; Cucine Lube answers with Christenson as setter, Sokolov as opposite, Juantorena and Kovar as spikers, Candellaro and Stankovic in position 3, Grebennikov as libero. The beginning of the match gives a different perspective of match than the one played in Marche because Trento is very efficient at block  (Stokr scores immediately) but Civitanova answers with attack actions (4-4, 7-6). Urnaut pushes forward the home team (counterattack of 9-6) but Stankovic answers immediately (11-10) and Sokolov reaches the tie at 14. Lube gains an advantage thanks to a block of Juantorena over Van de Voorde (17-18), which obliges Lorenzetti to interrupt the game. At the reprise the two team score hit after hit until reaching 21-21, then the guest team find the break with a block of Christenson over Stokr (21-23). The Czech opposite gains the tie again  (23-23), leaving the dispute to the advantages; Trento cancels two ball sets of the guest team, tries to gain one with  Stokr (26-25), but then gives up at the seventh occasion of the opponents  (31-33, a block of Christenson over Urnaut).
Diatec Trentino doesn’t demoralize itself and in the second set plays with the same spirit, answering to each Lube’s attack and to the pressure at block (6-6, 9-9). In the Yellow-blue court side Lorenzetti alternates Daniele Mazzone a few times to Solé who had difficulties in attack, but the first advantage is conquered thanks to Urnaut’s ace over Juantorena and an error at net  of Kovar for the 14-11. Blengini interrupts the game, then he gets what he wanted from his team, that recovers (17-17) with Juantorena at the service and Stankovic at the net. Lorenzetti asks for the time-out too, but the tie continues until the end (20-20, 22-22): Mazzone, with a block over Sokolov and then a mistake of Sokolov determine the set (25-22).
In the third set Civitanova improves the defense and, after an initial tie, speeds up thanks to Grebennikov e Christenson. At 9-12, Lorenzetti asks for the time-out and then another one almost immediately (9-14) because Juantorena at the service has a great impact. The coach makes Antonov (in the place of Urnaut) and Solè (in the place of Van de Voorde) play, but the result doesn’t change (13-17, 15-19). In the hardest moment, Stokr and Oleg (ace) give hope to the team (18-21, 22-22). Van de Voorde, with an ace misleads Trento (24-23) but Sokolov and Stankovic reverse the situation (24-26), winning the set (1-2).
In the fourth set, Diatec Trentino tries to wake up (6-4), thanks to Giannelli, but Lube doesn’t lose hope (8-8) and then with Sokolov and Kovar reaches 9-11. Urnaut takes the place of Antonov but the gap increases, also due to some mistakes (11-14). Kovar is decisive (12-16); Trento reacts with Lanza (15-17 and then 17-18). Juantorena then increases the gap (18-21), Stokr replies (21-21); Osmany, with an ace, reaches 21-23. The home team, with Pippo, reaches 24-24. The block of Solé counts for 26-25; it takes five match points to end the set: decisive Giannelli and Antonov (in the place of Tine).
In the tiebreak, there’s a big gap, thanks to Sokolov (1-5), Trento replies until 4-5 (Lanza) but Sokolov unchained (4-10, 5-12). Lube conquers for the first time in this season the PalaTrento: 7-15.
