Trento, 15th January 2018
Today was a day of rest for Diatec Trentino. After the defeat against Cucine Lube Civitanova at the PalaTrento, that interrupted the positive line that in SuperLega had been going on for two months, the technical staff decided to start again the trainings on Tuesday so that the players could replenish for the first real tour de force in 2018. From the match of Thursday 18th January at the PalaTrento against Arkas Izmir (for the third day of Pool E of 2018 CEV Champions League), the yellow-blues will play every three days and the matches will be at least ten in thirty-one days. If they win the semi-final of the Del Monte Coppa Italia 2018 on Saturday 27th January at 6 o’clock p.m. at the PalaFlorio of Bari against Perugia; before that challenge, there will be also the Adige’s derby at the PalaOlimpia of Verona on Sunday 21st January (for the fourth place in the placings) and the rescheduled match of the 17th turn against Castellana Grotte (in Bari) on Wednesday 24th January. After the Final Four of Coppa Italia there will be in fast succession the second round in Izmir (first of February), the match against Sir Safety Conad at the PalaTrento (4th of February), the away match in Latina (7th of February), and Kedzierzyn-Kozle (14th February) and the match at PalaPanini in Modena (18th February). This is an intensive period in which it will be necessary to have the largest number of alternatives in order to keep up. The medical staff continues to monitor Nicholas Hoag and Daniele De Pandis’ improvements.
