The qualification to the semifinals of 2017 CEV Cup gained on Wednesday night in the second leg of the Italian derby against Piacenza confirmed once more the international weight of the Club of via Trener. The semifinal that will be played between the 28th of March and the 2nd of April will be the seventh semifinal in eleven attendance in the CEV Cups, the third in a row.
For five times it was in the Champions League semifinal, the international event that helped spreading the name of Trento in Europe and then in the world thanks to the three victories in a row between 2009 and 2011. Trentino Volley participated in all the Final Four of the Champions League between 2009 and 2012, gaining also a third place and in 2016 when they won the silver medal. The only CEV Cup precedent was in 2015, when Kaziyski and his team mates gets very close to the victory, loosing the away match against Dinamo Mosca at the golden set. Every time Trentino Volley gets to the semifinal then gets to the podium. Results that prove how Europe has always been a major goal for the team of the President Mosna. And the European book is open in order to write on it another unforgettable page; the CEV Cup is one of the few events that Trento has not already won.
