Champions League, Trento will face the French champions of Chaumont in the Playoffs 12

The pairings of the round of sixteen of 2018 CEV Volleyball Champions League have been announced this morning in Luxembourg (the so-called Playoffs 12). In the knockout phase of the major continental trophy, Trentino Diatec will face the French champions of Chaumont VB 52 Haute Marne; the going match will be played away and the return one at PalaTrento. For the first time out of seven match played in the Playoffs 12, Trentino Volley will therefore challenge a transalpine team at this stage. The dates: the going match of the Playoffs 12 will be played between March 13th and 15th in France, the return match between March 20th and 22nd at PalaTrento. For the definition of the precise date and time of the match it will be necessary to wait for the confirmation from each company, in agreement with the respective national federations and local televisions. The six teams that will win both matches will enter the quarterfinals (called Playoffs 6), scheduled in the second half of March,; in the event that the two teams have both won a match apiece at the tie break or if they both have won a match apiece at most in four sets will be played at the end of the second match the Golden set of 15. The team that will get through between Trentino Diatec and Chaumont VB 52 Haute Marne will face the winner team of Belchatow-Civitanova. The Final Four is scheduled for the weekend of May 12nd-13th at Basket Hall in Kazan (Russia), with the hosts of Zenit (three times defending champions) already qualified for the semi-finals.
