Their going to face the winner of Sunday’s match between Perugia and Ravenna. In order to gain the pass and win against Verona which, however, played very well, Gianelli and his teammates had to use all their technical and tactical resources, showing probably the best performance of all this season.
The result 3-0 was due to the intensity and the determination of Trentino Volley which combined a concrete attack and a sharp service minimising the errors. Thanks to the cooperation of Lanza, Kovacevic and Giannelli, the yellow-blues managed to fight even though the rivals were able to react with bravery. Instead, during the third set the situation was clear enough: the team captain and the Serbian spiker took the lead giving BLM Group Arena the opportunity to celebrate the admission to the eleventh semi-final of Play Off in the history of the team of via Trener; on Sunday it will discover whether it will take the field for game 2 on Easter day (if Perugia wins) or for game 1 on Thursday (if Ravenna wins).
