Srecko Lisinac’s first words: “I am as ambitious, as Trentino Volley..."

Srecko Lisinac

The first interview of Srecko Lisinac as a Trentino Volley player.

Welcome Srecko, why did you choose Trento?
“During the last months I had the chance to talk many times with Trentino Volley managers, especially Bruno Da Re, and with coach Lorenzetti. What Trentino Volley aims to accomplish in the near future is very challenging and I know the value of the Club for what they won both nationally and internationally. I wanted to play here and I’m glad to be in Trento, because I am as ambitious as this team: we will work to aim high and achieve great things. It took me very little time to sign the deal”.
What kind of player are you?
“I’d rather have others tell you about that, I don’t like to talk about myself but I can tell you I want to improve and challenge myself with a level of volleyball that I couldn’t find in Poland. I come to Trento to grow as a player but the individual goals always come after the team’s need”.
Do you follow the Italian league?
“Yes, I consider it one of the most beautiful and difficult of the world, more demanding than the Polish PlusLiga, as I could determine from the matches I watched on tv. Perugia and Civitanova are very tough opponents, but not the only ones. There’s high competitiveness in this league and I like that. I’m really looking forward playing here, because there’s no easy match”.
You will join your teammate Kovacevic in  Trento…
“He’s one of the first people I got in touch with when I started thinking about Trento as my next team. He talked about it positively, of course, but he’s not the only one; also my coach in Belchatow, Roberto Piazza, told me beautiful things about the Club, about the professional attitude and the high level expectations. I am very happy to play with Uros again, but also with Simone Giannelli, I think very highly of him and I was always struck when I played against him with the national team. It’s not easy to find in his role such a young athlete playing as an expert”.
Do you have any hobbies or interests beyond volleyball?
“I don’t have much time free from volley, but it’s not a big deal, I like what I do and I’m a sports fan. I follow basket, tennis and also football, which I used to play as a kid. Back then, my idol was Alessandro Del Piero”.
