Statistics, the one against Amriswil is the 14th consecutive win on an away match

The success obtained yesterday in Swiss in the going match of the quarterfinals of 2019 CEV Cup brought Trentino Itas one step closer to qualify for the semifinals of this European Cup and at the same time it allowed our team to add a new victory to the row of consecutive ones. Trentino Itas has proved its incredible productivity on away matches also on Amriswil’s court, achieving its fourteenth consecutive win away from the BLM Group Arena. Giannelli and his teammates have not lost an away match since 4th November 2018 (2-3 in Civitanova Marche). After that defeat, they have always prevailed: seven times in SuperLega, five times during the World Club Cup and two times in CEV Cup (both in Swiss), leaving the opponents just nine sets. The row has started on 11th November at PalaFlorio in Bari against Castellana Grotte, which will be also the next opponent of the World Champions in the match on 3rd February in Trento. The record is just one step away, it will be beaten with fifteen consecutive wins, number that was achieved only in the 2012/13 season between 13th October (3-2 against Al Rayan in Doha) and 22th December 2012 (3-0 in Vibo Valentia). The only way to beat this record is to win Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2019 in Bologna, without forgetting that the eventual two next away matches are to be played between the semifinal on Saturday 9th February at the Unipol Arena against Civitanova (that has stopped a row of 21 consecutive wins, last year on 20th January) and the hypothetical final on the following day.
