Boninfante on Radio Dolomiti: “The race for the 2nd position has been difficult but..."

This morning Dante Boninfante has celebrated his 42th birthday in Radio Dolomiti’s studio. The Itas Trentino Assistant Coach has been the protagonist of the weekly tv appointment of the tv broadcast “Trentino Volley in FM”, dedicated to our Society by Itas media partner. During the twenty minutes of live broadcast the third coach of Trentino Itas has answered to the listeners’ questions, but also to the ones of the conductors Laura Paolazzi and Gabriele Biancardi, aimed at knowing him better but also at talking about the current experience of Itas Trentino.
“The choice of ending my career as player and trying to become a coach was only mine, but in the end I absolutely had to take that decision, since I had the opportunity to work with Lorenzetti – he admitted - . Some opportunities happen only once in life and you have to be brave enough to seize them. What do I miss of my life as athlet? Well, above all I miss the fact of constantly being on the court: the possibility of training every day and, somehow, the locker room life. My task here in Trento is following very carefully every session of our players, every time focusing on certain aspects, whereas during the matches I mostly have to interact with Simone, expressing some impressions about the ongoing match or about the opponents’ performance".
"The second final place in regular season? We are one point ahead of Civitanova and we want to keep it until the end – has explained Dante - . Surely what lies ahead of us is not a very easy pathway, since we are going to face teams such as Modena (away match) and Ravenna and Monza (home matches), but we will try and do our best, because we are able to do it. My birthday? I am going to celebrate having a dinner with the staff tonight”.
