The theatre of Lizzana full to listen to Lorenzetti and Giannelli

The theatre of Lizzana was full (more than a hundred people) for Angelo Lorenzetti and Simone Giannelli. The coach and the captain of Trentino Volley World Champion explained their experience as top sportsmen to a wide audience of fans in the building of this little city near Rovereto on Tuesday evening. The appointment has been organised by Bruno Zucchelli together with Fipav Trentino and has been led by Giuliano Beltrami. The main topic was the the early leaving from sport activities: a trend that interests 60% of the practitioners between 14 and 18 years old, and about which the setter and the coach had something to say.
“We coaches play a fundamental role - explained the coach Angelo Lorenzetti - ; we need to be good at understanding the passion and the necessities of the young ones we are training, without forcing them to do something they do not like. That is an age in which it is important to carry on what they feel is right for them, maybe by doing a sport less but more concentrated and dedicated on what they have decided for”.
“At the beginning I was playing several sports, among these skiing and football but I have decided to give those up after I tried volleyball - acknowledged Giannelli - . It was the sport that amused me the most so I just followed my passion and started doing the sacrifices i believed right to do. It has not been easy taking the train every day from Bolzano to Trento to train in the Youth Team of Trentino Volley, but all my efforts have paid off and I am glad it went so”.
