Itas Trentino-Bdo Hassrode Leuven 3-1, the match report

The match report. For the debut in front of the audience, Lorenzetti had tosce do without seven players (Giannelli, Grebennikov, Kovacevic, Cebulj, Lisinac, Candellaro e Russell) and so he chose Daldello in directioning, Vettori opposite hitter, Parodi e Sosa Sierra spikers, Codarin and Michieletto middle hitter, De Angelis free. Leuven proposed itself with Blondeel as setter, Van Walle (ex Macerata and Città di Castello) opposite hitter, Baetens and Peters spikers, Pardon and De Paepe middle hitter, Bossee free. The start for Trentino Volley was very efficient; Vettori made immediately good pitches and brought the match on +3 (7-4). The advantage lasts a little, because the hosts recovered quickly and impact already on the 10-10, before entering of Baetens and Van Walle (13-16). The time out of the gialloblù had beneficial effects because, thanks also to a great block of Sosa Sierra, the score returned to the balance (19-20). Leuven got back in the lead thanks to a mistake of Vectors (20-23), but Itas Trentino changed course on the most beautiful cancelling three balls set (from 21-24 to 24-24), then it got one with Parodi and transformed it with Vectors (26-24).
Also in the second set Trentino Volley started well with a 3-0 and then 7-1, thanks to Michieletto, who managed to score points both in attack and block. The Belgians tried to repeat with the usual Van Walle (8-4), Parodi defended the lead (14-11), but the opposing climb back until (19-18), before giving up definitively (23-18) under the blows of Vettori and of an excellent Codarin in service (ace of 25-18). In the third set Lorenzetti put Parodi in the resting position, inserted Acuti in the middle and moved Michieletto in the side; the choice was successful because Trentino Volley took the lead of the match (5-3, 11-6) until the end (16-10, 21-18), even if Van Walle tried in every way to keep his team in the game (25-22). At 3-0 there is time for another set, in this case, won by the Bdo Hassrode for 22-25.
