Uros Kovacevic awarded as 2019 best European player

A deserved recognition, which seals a calendar year to remember, which saw him become European Champion both with the jersey of Trentino Volley (thanks to the success in 2019 CEV Cup), and with that of the Serbian National Team. Uros Kovacevic was by all means one of the brightest stars that shone tonight in Sofia during the European Volleyball Gala.
On the sidelines of the draw for the first phase of the 2020 CEV Champions League, the European Federation awarded the left-handed player from Kraljevo as the best European player of 2019; a well-deserved recognition, which came in a year that saw him win the 2018/19 Trofeo Gazzetta thanks to his continuity of extraordinary performance. 
Arrived in Sofia in the afternoon to collect the prize, the spiker of Itas Trentino seemed obviously very excited. "This award makes me happy because it means that during the last ten months I was able to help my teammates to achieve important goals - he explained -. I thank the staff of Trentino Volley, the President and all the fans for their great support they have offered me and for the constant encouragement. I want to share the prize with the team and with my national team".
