Report of the match. The starting six of Trentino Itas has Giannelli as setter, Vettori as opposite, Russell and Cebulj as spikers, Candellaro and Lisinac as middle-blockers, Grebennikov as libero. Jihostroj Ceske Budejovice replies with De Amo as setter, Sotola as opposite, Zmrhal and Michalek as spikers, Mach and Todua as middle-blockers, Krystof as libero. The beginning of the match is in favour of Czech Republic who with a block and service (two Sotola's ace) run away immediately (2-5, 3-10) forcing Lorenzetti to spend both time outs. Trento reacts thanks to Cebulj and Candellaro (13-18) then Giannelli's services and Russell's counterattacks close the gap (16-19). Dvorak interrupts the game. At the resumption of the game, Todua made a block on Vettori. Jihostroj restarts (18-23) and closes the set on 21-25 despite a generous attempt to perform a come back. The second set starts with two more Czech aces (1-3), Trentino Itas tries to contain the opponents, staying close in the score (5-7) and tying at 8 points with a Russell pipe. Sotola and Zmrhal lead the Jihostroj’s team (8-11), that then score points with Todua's block (11-15 and 11-18). The team tries to go up but then gives up the second set in the hands of Todua (22-25).
In the third set Lorenzetti confirmed Michieletto in the field instead of Cebulj, a change that had already taken place in the previous partial. The yellow- blue start well (5-3 and 12-10) and in the meantime Vettori has left space in the role of opposite to the Slovenian player, who with the service takes his team on 17-14. With this roster Trento gets faster and faster (20-14), getting powerful in the net area with Lisinac (attack and block) and winning the match on 25-15.
Trentino Itas is back on the field (6-4), but Jihostroj quickly gets the points of tie with Sotola (8-8). The new Gialloblù break starts from the wall containment of Candellaro and from the reconstructed point of Cebulj and Michieletto (14-12 and 17-14). Giannelli and his teammates feel an air of tie break and defend the advantage (22-20, 25-22).
In the fifth set, the desire for yellow-blue qualification (6-3, 8-6) is greater than the resistance by Ceske Budejovice. The external 3-2 arrives on the 15-11.
