Coronavirus, the CEV postpones all the final matches of the European Cups to a later date

The CEV has decided to postpone all the international events, including the European Cups such as the Champions League. Until few days ago the European Federation had decided to postpone the continental tournament to the 3rd of April, but because of the escalation of the Coronavirus and the state of emergency of most European states, the Board of Directors has chosen to block the tournament, waiting for better times.
"It was a difficult and painful decision, which we made taking into account the health and safety of players, managers and fans - explained CEV President Aleksandar Boricic - . We will monitor the situation and work together with all our stakeholders to find the best solutions, depending on the development of the crisis".
