Trentino Volley take part in CEV Champions League also in 2020/21 season!

Great news for all Trentino Volley fans: Trentino Volley will compete in the Champions League of 2020/21 season! Indeed, the Italian Volleyball Federation has announced today that our club will be the fourth team playing in the top continental competition for clubs, following the decision of the CEV on Wednesday that extended the participation in the competition to an additional team for those nations that can boast the highest ranking in the European Cups (Italy ranks first in the men's category). According to the specifications requested by the European Confederation itself, Trentino Volley is fully entitled to it because it is the SuperLega team, among those that had not yet been admitted, that could count on the best ranking at the time of the interruption for the Coronavirus Emergency and has participated in two of the last three editions of the competition. Trentino Volley has welcomed this decision with great enthusiasm and it will enable our club to try to write another glorious page of its history after the three unforgettable consecutive victories achieved between 2009 and 2011.
"I thank the CEV for having legitimately recognized our right, as the abrupt interruption of competitive sports last March had not enabled us to continue to participate in the previous edition of the Champions League - said President of Trentino Volley Diego Mosna - . I believe that this is an act of sporting justice; we will commit ourselves from today to honour this opportunity that will enable us to continue to compete at the highest level in Europe as well".
The road of Trentino Volley to the tournament will start in one of the three preliminary rounds (mode and draw will be announced in mid-August), which will determine the last teams qualified for the group stage (Civitanova, Modena and Perugia have already been admitted).
