Rossini: "Commitment, emotion, positivity and victories: we are on the right track"

After three (unofficial) test matches in the last four days, Itas Trentino enjoys a Sunday of rest to recover physical and mental energy. The 3-1 win secured on Saturday afternoon at the BLM Group Arena in the joint training session with Piacenza has indeed sealed the first week of pre-season training in which our team has been able to face opponents that Trentino Volley will again go up against from the end of September.
“We were looking forward to these first matches with great emotion, because it is one thing to train with your teammates while another is to train against an opponent you don't know or that you don't see every day in the training centre - explained Salvatore Rossini, the new Trentino Volleyball libero - . Playing an exchange on the 23-23 has a completely different flavour from simple daily practice; what's more, we also have a great desire to restart and resume official competitions, which makes it all the more exciting. My hope is that this will happen as soon as possible, in the best safety conditions and maybe even in front of some of our fans".
"The joint training sessions with Verona, Milan and Piacenza have brought us positive impressions
- continued Totò - ; it is true that we are living in a phase of continuous changes and adaptations to the new group and to the game system, but in the meantime good results have also arrived from a competitive point of view and all this allows us to end the week with a smile. We're on the right track; personally, I'm very happy with the feeling that is being created even just with my teammates of the receiving phase. Luis, Carlo, Dick, Alessandro, Lucarelli are very good and patient with me, because they always listen to me. We are already starting to synchronise our movements in the second line, we need time to oil the mechanisms and understandings but I am very happy and confident. We have a great responsibility that is rewarding in any case, because if we can put the ball in Giannelli's hand regularly, we know that he can distribute the game in the best possible way on a battery of first level attackers".
Itas Trentino will return to training in the early afternoon of Monday 31 August, thus kicking off the ninth week of pre-season training - the penultimate week before the official debut.
