Itas Trentino-Allianz Milano 3-0, the match report

Match report. At the beginning, Lucarelli does not play so Kooy is Captain and plays well with Michieletto; Giannelli plays as setter, Nimir as opposite, Podrascanin and Lisinac as middle blockers, Rossini as libero and the other 5 players of the starting six. Allianz Milano can not count on Patry (injuried) and Urnaut (can not play cause he signed the membership on 15th November- day on which the team should have played the match) and so the Capitan is Sbertoli, Basic as opposite, Ishikawa and Maar as spikers, Piano and Kozamernik as middle blockers and Pesaresi as libero. First set is balanced (3-4, 6-6 e 9-9), the teams show they best players: Kooy and Piano. Thanks to a block by the Italian-Dutch against Ishikawa and the following errors by the Japanese player and Maar, Itas gains an advantage (12-9, time out called by Piazza). Then, Itas Trentino increases the advantage even more thanks to Michieletto and Nimir (17-13), but Milan recovers, works hard at block and in reception thanks to Basic (18-17). Gialloblù increases the advantage thanks to an attack by Piano and an ace by Lisinac (21-17) and is running fast towards 1-0 (won 25-18 thanks to an ace by Nimir and first time by Podrascanin).
Since the beginning of the second set, Lisinac and Kooy are doing their best (4-2, 8-5 e 10-6). Gialloblù is increasing the advantage quickly (13-7), even thanks to some difficulties shown by the opponent team above all in attack; in reception Itas Trentino is particularly good and Michieletto increases until 18-11. Allianz does not play back (20-12 e 22-15) and Lorenzetti’s team quickly gets to 2-0, 25-17.
During 3rd set Weber plays instead of Basic but the balance between the two teams only last until 5-5, then Giannelli scores at serve and Lisinac stops Maar (8-5, time out called by Piazza); as the play begins again Ishikawa does some errors and Michieletto keeps scoring. As Itas gets 13-6, it’s clear that the team is going to win the match (16-10, 19-11) and Lorenzetti let some space also to Sperotto and Cortesia: 25-15 and 3-0.
