Statistics, closed the streak of 16 wins in a row (the third giallo-blù streak ever)

The three-set defeat suffered on Saturday night at the Unipol Arena in Bologna against Perugia in the second semifinal of Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2021 put an end to the streak of successes obtained consecutively by Trentino Volley, which ended at sixteen.
The giallo-blù team achieved it in exactly two months, opening it at the BLM Group Arena on 1 December 2020 thanks to the 3-2 comeback success against Novosibirsk and continuing it until 27 January 2021 (home victory with Milan in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup ). This is the third best series made in the twenty-one and a half years of activity by Trentino Volley: it is equal to the winning streak achieved in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons. Only in the 2012/13 season, which then culminated with the Scudetto conquest, and in the 2018/19 one (in which the World Club and CEV Cup victories arrived) the Club of via Trener has therefore been able to do better, obtaining respectively twenty-six and twenty-one victories in a row.
During this period, affirmations arrived in three different competitions: three in the Champions League, twelve in the SuperLega Credem Banca 2020/21 and one in the Italian Cup. The overall statistics give further luster to the journey of Lorenzetti's team, which won eight times with a score of 3-0, five for 3-1 and three times set at the tie break, for a total of 48 sets won and just 11 left to the opponents (quotient 4.36), with ten home and six away matches.
Starting from Wednesday evening (engagement in Milan for the penultimate round of the regular season SuperLega), the giallo-blù team will immediately try to do its utmost in view of the final phase of the season, in which there still are Champions League and Scudetto at stake.
