2021 CEV Champions League, the draw for the quarter-finals in Luxembourg on Thursday

The draw for the quarter-finals of 2021 CEV Volleyball Champions League will take place on Thursday 12 February in Luxembourg. In fact, starting from 12 at the CEV Headquarters, the matches between the eight qualified teams will be established at the end of the Main Phase; at the same time, the scoreboard will also be drawn up which, thanks to the double round-trip match in both the quarterfinals and the semifinals, will determine the name of the two teams that will play the Final on May 1st (venue to be defined), competing for the title of European Champion of 2021.
The matches scheduled for this evening will complete Pools B, C, D and E, defining the names of the eight ranked teams. The four winners of their group with the best ranking will be included in the ballot box; awaiting today's results (which will close the Main Phase), only Kazan and Trentino Itas are currently sure to be part of it; in the other ballot box there will be the worst first and the three best second ones.
The rules of the draw foresee that the best four first-placed players of the groups cannot face each other in the quarter-finals, which will therefore be drawn in combination against the three best second ones and the worst first. Teams that have played in the same group will not be able to face each other in the quarterfinals; Civitanova (already qualified but still not sure of appearing among the top seeds), for example, will not be able to challenge Perugia. The quarter-finals will be played between February 14th (home of the worst classified) and March 3 (return home of a first classified).
The draw for the Playoffs 12 will be broadcast in live streaming on the official CEV YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/cevolleyball) and on the Facebook page www.2343ec78a04c6ea9d80806345d31fd78-gdprlock/CEVolleyballCL/.
