Champions League, Trentino Itas won first round match of Semifinal

Trentino Itas confirms itself as unbeatable team on its home field during 2021 and so did also during the semifinal match. Tonight gialloblù achieved another victory at BLM Group Arena (the consecutive one since 25th November 2020) concluding 3-0 first round match of semifinal 2021 CEV Champions League against Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia. The team will have to achieve the same result also during second round in Verona if it wants to ensure a pass for the final match of Champions League; the only way to do it is to win at least 2 sets of the official match or the eventual golden set at the end of it.
First set of the Italian derby of Champions League was crowned during break point phase; the team has been able to find the right determination since the very beginning of the match and defeat the opponent thanks to a lot of points scored. During second set the difference was bigger: Podrascanin did his best scoring 11 points (83% during first time, 4 blocks and 2 aces) and the great ability of Nimir (best scorer with 16 points) whose contribution was fundamental also during the final rush at the end of the set. On home field, also Lucarelli and Michieletto played very well and so did Giannelli directing the play.
