Play Off Scudetto, the semifinal with Lube starts the next weekend we

Another week of waiting and then for Trentino Volley it will be time to start playing its thirteenth series of the Play Off Championship semifinal in eighteen participations, the twelfth in the last fourteen years. In fact, on Sunday 28 March in Civitanova the challenge will open in this phase of the board with Lube; it will be the remake of the confrontation that took place in the 2010 and 2019 edition; in the other ten semifinals there was room for three matches with Perugia, two with Cuneo and Modena and one with Treviso, Rome and Latina.
There have been eight cases in which the Via Trener club passed the round, thus accessing the final: the only negative precedents are linked to the 2005/06 season played against Sisley Treviso (1-3), that of the 2015/16 season against Modena (1-3), that of 2017/18 with Perugia (2-3) and the last one with Civitanova (1-3 - 2018/19). In each of the twelve previously played series Trentino Volley has won at least one match.
Trento in the Play Offs has so far played a total of 120 matches, achieving success in 72 cases (23 of which were away matches) and then losing in 48 (of which 34 were away matches). The player who has totaled the highest number of games in this phase with the giallo-blù jersey remains Emanuele Birarelli, which arrived in the 2014/15 season with 60 appearances (21 of these are related to championship semi-finals). The one of the current squad is Simone Giannelli: 44 appearances, of which 21 in the semifinals.
