Champions League, in Verona Champions League final in the name of attack, block and serve

A little over a week and then the AGSM Forum in Verona will effectively become the dream theater of European volleyball. On Saturday 1st May at 8.30 pm the Scala game center will host the 2021 CEV Champions League Final between Trentino Itas and GroupaAzoty Kedzierzyn-Kozle; a match with an absolutely uncertain outcome due to the great competitiveness shown by the two teams during their journey through the event, made up of many victories and high-level matches. While waiting to know the final result, the statistics recorded so far by the giallo-blù and the Polish teams help to understand what kind of match is likely to be staged in eight days. The numbers well explain the qualities of Trento and Kedzierzyn-Kozle in particular in three fundamental ways: attack, block and serve.
Trentino Itas is the team that has attacked most effectively in the event, thanks to its 56% and spikers such as Nimir (best scorer with 188 points and most prolific player at the net) and Lucarelli (seventh scorer and eighth spiker), but also Group Azoty can boast important numbers: 54% of the team and three athletes in the top ten of scorers and spikers (Semeniuk, Kaczmarek and Sliwka).
In the fundamental of the block, Lorenzetti's team is fourth in the entire 2021 CEV Champions League for average points scored per set (2.63), also thanks to the contribution of the Serbian middle-blocker Lisinac (first with 27 personal blocks), Podrascanin ( second with 23), but also by Nimir (fifth with 19). Kedzierzyn-Kozle are not far behind, as they are in sixth place with an average of 2.36 blocks per set and in the top ten boast Kochanowski (fourth with 20 points) and Semeniuk (seventh with 17). The challenge between Semeniuk and Nimir Abdel-Aziz also continues in the fundamental of the service, given that the Dutchman leads the ranking of the aceman with 36 winning serves while Semeniuk is fourth with 14, but among the top ten there are others four players of the two teams: Lucarelli (seventh with 12 points) and, paired, Kaczmarek, Kochanowski and Lisinac (all three in the eighth place with eleven aces). Performances that make Trento the second most incisive team serving the 2021 CEV Champions League with 1.96 aces per set and Kedzierzyn-Kozle the seventh with 1.56.
