Sir Safety Conad Perugia-Itas Trentino 0-3, the match report

The match report. Itas Trentino presents itself on the field of the Eurosuole Forum confirming the starting six seen in Vibo Valentia, with all the three spikers on the field, in which Lavia has the role of the opposite spiker, while Kaziyski and Michieletto are spikers. The other four players are the setter Sbertoli, the libero Zenger (both at the first Final Four of Super Cup of their career), and the two Serbian middle blockers Lisinac-Podrascanin. Sir Safety Perugia responds with the former of Trento Giannelli as setter, Richlicki as opposite spiker, Leon and Anderson as spikers, Solé and Ricci as middle blockers, Colaci libero. The start of the match is very concentrated on the Umbrians, who strongly push with the service, forcing Michieletto at the first error in attack (3-5); a first half in the net of Ricci scores the tie (7-7). Perugia restarts with Leon and the service of Rychlicki (9-12 and 11-14), but two blocks of Kaziyski on the Luxembourgian opposite spiker score the tie (15-15). In the final phase, Itas Trentino makes the advantage using the great rotation at service of Sbertoli, spiced up by an ace and two break points (Kaziyski and Lisinac). This is the cue that decides the first set, because then the Block Devils don’t close the gap (21-18, 24-21) and concedes another point that finishes the set (25-21).
Sir Safety Conad Perugia tries to react in the second set, using Leon (2-3 and 4-7). Lorenzetti’s time-out is providential, because at the restart of the game Itas Trentino ties (13-13) thanks to Lavia, and Lisinac who scores an ace. As happened in the previous set, the yellow-blue make a difference in the second part, showing a great attitude. Kaziyski scores and Leon struggles in the net: Trento flies to +3 (20-17) and closes the set thanks to a fantastic Lisinac (25-21).
In the third set, Grbic moves Anderson in the role of opposite spiker, finding room for Plotnytskyi, but the move doesn’t immediately have the desired effects as Itas Trentino with Podrascanin and Kaziyski immediately moves to +2 (7-5). Perugia ties (9-9), but then Podrascanin offers a new important cue with attack and block (on Solé) for 16-13. The Umbrians seem in disadvantage, but within few minutes close the gap 19-18, taking advantage of a block of Giannelli on Kaziyski and a counterattack of Leon. Lorenzetti calls a time-out and, at the restart, finds the response of the team. Kaziyski continues to drag Trento to +2 (23-21) and Trento wins the set thanks to an error of Anderson at service (25-23).
