Men's Club World Championship, Trento between the participants of the edition 2021!

The program of the season 2021/22 enriches with another illustrious international appointment for Trentino Volley. Thanks to the second place in the latest CEV Champions League, the yellow-blue Company will be among the participants of the World Cup per Clubs 2021, scheduled in Brazil in Betim (the city that already hosted the editions 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019), between the following 7 and 11 December.
This morning, Fivb officialised the dates, the place, and the teams that have the right to participate, confirming to Trentino Volley the certainty of his presence among the teams that will play the annual world championship. For the ninth time in its history, the yellow-blue Club will play the World Cup per Clubs, the manifestation that has won more than anyone else: a total of five (four consecutively between 2009 and 2012, and then also in 2018).
The presence in Brazil will allow the yellow-blue to hunt the sixth title, trying to represent in the best possible way the Italian SuperLega and, at the same time, bringing again around the world the name of Trentino.
The list of the six teams that have the right to participate in the tournament includes the formation Champion of Brazil Funvic Taubatè, the compatriots Sada Cruzeiro (Champions of the South American Cup per Clubs 2020 – the latest played), the Argentinians of UPCN San Juan (second qualified of the South American Cup per Clubs 2020), the Iranians of Foolad Sirjan (defending Champions of Asia), and the Poles Champions of Europe of Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle.
The formula of the manifestation doesn’t present news compared to the ones applied in the eight previous participations of Trento: the teams will play a first phase divided in two pools; the first two qualified of every pool (that is going to be played with the formula of Round Robin between 7 and 9 December) will access to the semifinals and finals, scheduled on 10 and 11 December. The composition of the pools and the program of the matches will be announced in the coming days.
During the period in which it will stay in Brazil for the World Cup per Clubs 2021, Itas Trentino should have played three official matches of regular season SuperLega Credem Banca 2021/22: 5 December at home with Piacenza, 8 December in Ravenna, and 12 in Milano: the games will be brought forward or postponed by a few days, depending on the availability of the respective arenas.
