Berlin Recycling Volleys-Trentino Itas 3-2, the match report

The match report. Trentino Itas arrived in Germany with Lavia in the group but still unavailable, so Lorenzetti confirmed the starting six already used in the first match: Sbertoli at the direction, Pinali opposite spiker, Michieletto and Kaziyski as hitter spikers, Podrascanin and Lisinac at the center and Zenger at libero. Berlin Recycling Volleys responds with Grankin at the setter, Patch at opposite spiker, Carle and Schott as hitter spikers, Mote and Jendryk II as middle blockers, Danani as libero. The start is balanced (3-3), then Kaziyski attacks twice out and Carle finds the ace that makes it 3-6 inside, a situation that forces the team to take refuge in the first discretionary time out. At the restart, Trentino Itas immediately grabs parity with Podrascanin (6-6), but it's a precarious circumstance because Mote blocks Pinali and pushes the Gialloblù back (9-12). Later, Pinali returns the block he suffered, making it on Carle, and Kaziyski gaines a splendid defensive action of his, finding parity at 16. Once again the Germans accelerate (17-20) with Patch and this time it's the decisive moment, because Trento can't get back on track (20-23) and closes the first set with an error by the so far perfect Podrascanin (21-25).
After the change of field the guest team immediately puts in place an angry reaction, led by Pinali (attack and block on Carle) and the mistakes made by the lolcals. On 4-0 from Trentino, the game is immediately interrupted by the Germans, who gradually manage to get closer (6-4 and 9-8) thanks to Schott's good scoring streak and Grankin's ace. In the central part of the game, Lorenzetti's team is disunited, makes a lot of mistakes and offers the side to the overtaking of the orange players who stop Podrascanin paying great attention in the middle of the net, forcing him to make a direct error in the first half (11-14). In the best moment, Berlin drops the tension, misses with Patch and Jendrik, allowing the Gialloblù to go back ahead 17-16. It's just a moment, though, because Trentino Itas struggles to change the ball under the powerful shots of the opponent's service (17-21). Two aces in a row by Michieletto put the team back in front (21-22), but it's the last gasp, because then the partial score is all the opponent's thanks to Carle and Patch (22-25).
Trentino Itas does not give up and in the third period starts as if nothing had happened (3-0 and 6-1), thanks to Kaziyski, Lisinac and Pinali. The same opposite spiker is unleashed and also hits from the second line (10-3); Berlin tries to raise its head (10-5), but then suffers a new break that this time is signed by Michieletto (15-5). The Germans make a lot of changes, but do not get any closer to their opponents (20-7) and quickly leave space to the guests for the fourth set which arrives at 25-9.
The contest is once again a hard-fought one in the fourth set (4-5), with Berlin bringing back all its starters and with Jendrik (ace) accelerating to 4-7 (Lorenzetti time out). When Trento returns to the field, it suffers but gets back on top (10-11) and starts to fight with the knife between its teeth, taking advantage of the tension that grips the opponents, who are very foul on serve and at the net (19-17). Michieletto's (ace) and Kaziyski's blow guarantees a further extension (23-21) and makes the Gialloblù team fly in the semifinals, already on 25-21.
The tie break becomes a pleasant duty for Trentino Itas, that the team faces with Cavuto and D'Heer on court since the first exchange in place of Kaziyski and Lisinac. The Gialloblù stay ahead until 9-8, then they suffer the break of Berlin, which wins 13-15, but this is definitely the sweetest defeat of the whole season.
