Champions League, Perugia breaks on 17-15 in the golden set: it is once again final!

After Prague, Lodz, Bolzano, Cracow and Verona, the extraordinary continental epopee of Trentino Volley in CEV Champions League will expand with another milestone to remember, independently from the result that will be achieved. This milestone is the match in Ljubljana, where on Sunday May 22nd Trentino Itas will play its sixth final of all times in the maximum continental trophy, facing the Polish champions of Kedzierzyn-Kozle, in the remake of the challenge that characterized the decisive match in the previous edition.
The yellow-blue formation assured itself this new match with history, winning the golden set at the advantages (for 17-15) against Sir Sicome Monini Perugia that managed to win the canonical match at the tie-break this evening at BLM Group Arena of Trento in the hard-fought semifinal of the second round. Exactly like the yellow-blue team did eight days before in Perugia. The strong start in the tie-breaker set (7-2 and 12-7) affected a lot the final result, because Perugia, despite having fought till the advantages, found itself without energies in the final moments. There was a lot of adrenaline during the six partials played tonight before more than 3.300 enthusiastic viewers for the great volleyball performed by the two teams, but in the end it was the formation of the home team supported by its own viewers to use this adrenaline better, before moving forward to 2-1 and then reacting once again after the recovery and the overtaking by Perugia. All of this without counting, from half of the fourth set on, on their own captain Kaziyski (replaced for precaution for a minor knee injury) but taking advantage of the perfect game by Michieletto (best scorer and mvp with 25 personal points), Lavia (19) and Sbertoli, wonderful at not losing control in important moments.

Following the score board of the second round of the semifinal of 2022 CEV Champions League played this evening at BLM Group Arena of Trento.
