SuperLega, new midweek appointment in Modena on Wednesday

The match, which counts for the 11th round of the regular season SuperLega Credem Banca 2022/23, originally scheduled for December 11th but brought forward to allow Trentino Volley to play the 2022 World Club Championship in Brazil at that time, will be played on Wednesday, October 26th, at the PalaPanini in Modena. The traditional A22 derby will therefore be played midweek; the kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.: live on Rai Sport + (channel 58 DGTV), Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World Tv platform.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO Having regained the championship victory after a three-week wait, the yellow-blue lineup immediately goes in search of an encore in one of the most challenging and heartfelt away matches of the entire regular season, against a team like the one from Emilia, that exactly like Trentino Volley needs points to lift its ranking.
"We know that we have to prepare for a strong battle, because at stake are important points for the race to the Final Eight of the Italian Cup and because Modena is a team that in the previous days has always shown that it can fight on equal terms against any opponent, strong also of some individualities of absolute level - explained coach Angelo Lorenzetti during the presentation - . Talking about us, we know that we can and must still grow a lot, but since there is no time to train we have to go through this process directly during the matches. We are ready to do that; we need progress, but we also need to continue scoring points in the league."
Trentino Volley will reach Modena at full strength in the early evening today, after holding its eve training session at the BLM Group Arena in the afternoon. The confrontation at PalaPanini will correspond to the 949th official match in the history of the Via Trener club and will see the yellow-blue club go in search of its 314th external victory - a result that has been missing in the regular season since Feb. 27th (a four-set win in Piacenza).
THE OPPONENTS With only one win in the first four games of its championship, Valsa Group Modena awaits the A22 derby, and it’s determined to make counting the home advantage in order to relaunch itself in the ranking, which now sees it in ninth place with five points.
The Emilians have beaten only Piacenza (3-1 on the second match day) so far, however, proving that they can fight against any opponent, as clearly show the tie break defeats in Padua and in a home game against Milano last Sunday evening. The only occasion on which Andrea Giani's team failed to score was during the away game in Civitanova (k.o. in three sets), against that Lube with which Valsa Group Modena will play Monday evening in Cagliari in the Supercoppa semifinal.
Over the summer, the club based in Geminiano changed ownership and began a new path, in which players of excellent level and beloved by the local public; such as setter Bruno, hitter spiker Ngapeth, libero Rossini (former Trentino Volley player) and middle blocker Stankovic; remain at the center of the project. The new players in the lineup from which opposite spiker Lagumdzija, middle blocker Krick and hitter spiker Rinaldi (a player from the youth system, who played last season in Cisterna), while among the alternatives to the regular lineup there are players such as wings Marechal and Pope, in position 3 Bossi and the young libero Gollini.
