Play Off Scudetto 2023, four names as possible next opponents in the quarter

The last day of the second round of the SuperLega Credem Banca 2022/23 regular season, scheduled for the upcoming weekend, will mark the end of the first phase of the top Italian championship and therefore determine the team combinations of the Play Off Scudetto quarterfinals.
According to tradition, it includes the first eight teams in the rankings; the three-round scoreboard (all best-of-five matches) that awards the Italian title is determined taking into account the ranking set after the 26 matches of the regular season. Itas Trentino knows for sure it will play three out of the five quarterfinals matches (that will start on Sunday March 19th) at the BLM Group Arena because, thanks to the points collected so far in the regular season, the team will definitely place in one of the first four positions.
According to Saturday and Sunday results, the yellow-blue team may place at second, third or fourth position and then compete in the quarterfinals respectively against the seventh, sixth and fifth team of the championship. Among the possible opponents to face next weekend there are: Milano (at the moment at eighth place with 27 points), Monza (seventh place with 30 points), Piacenza (sixth with 31 points) and Verona (fifth with 34 points). The only team who is already sure of its final position is Verona, because, even in case of a tie with Gas Sales Bluenergy (in case of a home defeat for 0-3 or 1-3 on Saturday against Cisterna and the Emilians win 3-0 against Padova) it can anyway count on the number of victories. There are plenty of results’ combinations for a possible change of position between Piacenza and Monza (who will play a home match against Siena) but also for a possible change of position between Milano and Monza.
