Gas Sales Bluenergy-Itas Trentino 1-3, game #2 report

Game 2 report. The two coaches proposed the standard starting six: Lorenzetti calls on court Sbertoli as setter and Kaziyski as opposite spiker, Michieletto and Lavia as hitter spikers, Lisinac and Podrascanin as middle blockers and Laurenzano as libero, while Botti replies with Brizard as setter, Romanò as opposite, Leal and Lucarelli as hitter spikers, Simon and Caneschi as middle blockers, Scanferla as libero.
The guests have a better impact and start amazingly at block and defence, which lead the team to the 6-4 advantage, also thanks to Lucarelli’s attack error and the well-used video check by the yellow-blue shortlist. Trento then sprints further with Kaziyski and an important attack by Caneschi (10-6), leading the opponents’ coach to call a timeout. Thanks to Kaziyski, Itas Trentino keeps on going even further also in the break point phase (14-10 and 18-13). At the end of the set, Lorenzetti’s team get to the +8 (22-14), before securing the set on 25-19 with two pipe-points by Michieletto.
The second set start is balanced (3-3 and 7-7). Lucarelli shows off his skills but the team does not take advantage of some important chances to go further. Then, Trento makes a sprint (16-14) with Podrascanin’s ace on Leal and Kaziyski’s winning attack in the break phase. Botti calls the timeout and when the game resumed, he had to wait a few passages for a positive response from his team, which scored a 0-3 lead with Leal on 18-16 and went ahead 18-19. Lorenzetti calls time out and when he resumed, his players went on a 6-3 run that closes the set thanks to the aces of Džavoronok (who joined for service) and Michieletto and Podrascanin's block on Romanò: 25-22 and 2-0.
Gas Sales Bluenergy tries to comeback in the third set and get to +3 with Simon and Leal (from 6-6 to 6-9). Within few minutes Trento finds a tie at 11 with Lisinac, before going ahead by two (13-12). Piacenza replies again with Romanò and Lucarelli (15-18) and then reached a decisive lead of +5 (15-20) thanks to the sharp services of the Brazilian hitter spiker, former Trentino Volley player. Lorenzetti calls D’Heer, Džavoronok and Nelli on court, but does not succeed in turning the tide. The Emilians block every passage and secured the set positively at 20-25 and re-opened the match.
The fourth set was balanced until 8-8, then Simon attacked out and Sbertoli scored the ace that made it 10-8. The yellow-blue team went further only halfway through the set (17-14), taking advantage of Romanò's error at the net. Botti interrupt the game twice within a few minutes, but does not receive the desired turnover (20-17). Michieletto blocks Lucarelli for 22-18 and kicks the final rush towards 3-1, gained at 25-20 (Brizard's hitting error).
