Play Off, Itas Trentino starts off with the right foot the final series

May 1st to be pinned down for Itas Trentino at the BLM Group Arena! Six years since the yellow-blue club last competed in the Playoffs Finals, the team won 3-1 against Cucine Lube in game 1, played at the BLM Group Arena in front of 4.000 spectators. A performance and result that immediately confirmed the home court factor, setting the best-of-five series at 1-0. The long wave of the success obtained six days earlier in front of their own crowd, against Piacenza in the semifinal playoff was felt again tonight; Lorenzetti’s team got on court with determination and reliance on its own skills, and managed to override the opponents even they turned the tide in the first set (from 21-17 to 23-23) and seemed like they have taken the lead after having won the second set sprint. Kaziyski’s toughness of (mvp of the evening: 22 points with 51% in attack, three blocks and an ace), Michieletto’s consistency (17 with 60%) and Sbertoli’s clear thinking in managing the entire attacking line even when he found himself without Lisinac (out due to a back injury from the beginning of the second set), were in fact fundamentals to tilt the needle of the scales toward the locals, who decisively became the court leaders in the fourth set.
